The Beginning
Ramesh was a shy, underprivileged boy from a small village when he joined Teach My India four years ago. His family worked in agriculture, and education was not a priority due to financial constraints. Ramesh attended school sporadically and was falling behind academically. He struggled with basic mathematics and English, and his confidence was visibly shaken.
When Ramesh joined our program, he was considered an at-risk student—one likely to drop out. But our mentors saw potential in him. They began working with him one-on-one, patiently helping him understand concepts he'd struggled with.
The Transformation
The transformation didn't happen overnight. It took months of consistent effort, dedication, and patience. Ramesh attended classes regularly, did his homework diligently, and started asking questions—something he'd never done before. His mentors celebrated every small win, boosting his confidence.
Within the first year, Ramesh's grades improved significantly. But more importantly, his entire outlook on life changed. He became more confident, participated actively in class, and started dreaming about his future. By the end of his second year with us, Ramesh was no longer an at-risk student. He was scoring among the top students in his class. He completed his board exams with flying colors and even received a scholarship to pursue higher education. But his journey with Teach My India didn't end there.
Giving Back
When Ramesh completed his studies, he approached us with a request. He wanted to become a mentor in our program. He wanted to help other students like himself—students who faced challenges but had the potential to succeed.

Now, for the past year, Ramesh has been mentoring 10-12 students. His unique position—having walked in his students' shoes—makes him an exceptionally effective mentor. He doesn't just teach them academics; he teaches them resilience, determination, and the power of education. His students love him, and they look up to him as a role model.
What's truly remarkable is the multiplier effect. Two of Ramesh's current students have already expressed their desire to become mentors once they complete their studies. Ramesh is creating a chain reaction of positive impact.
